About
I have a passion for inspiring my family, friends and followers to adopt healthy, green lifestyles. I began blogging in 2009 to share my personal wellness journey, and I
have worked with leading brands such as Nintendo and GE Appliances to introduce healthy new products to readers. I also have served as a health and wellness resource for various media outlets. I am a former healthy living expert for Fox 17 Tennessee Mornings and have been a freelance writer for publications such as Yoga Journal and SavvySource.com.
I’ve supported event-based wellness education as well, including speaking appearances at Girls Day Out (sponsored by Way-FM) and Earth Day programs at local schools. In 2010, I founded the Women’s Wellness Weekend, a conference geared toward equipping women with the information and inspiration they need to live healthier lives.
My professional background is in communications. I graduated from Miami University with a degree in journalism and have more than a decade of experience in public relations and marketing, working with a variety of brands in industries such as financial services, healthcare and retail.
As a PR-friendly blogger and an avid information seeker, I am always open to learning about new products and services that encourage and support the goal of leading a healthy, green lifestyle. You can find me on Facebook and Twitter or email me at calie (@) broccolicupcake (dot) com.
