Hold Me Tight: A Book Review

This is an amazing book. Plain and simple. If you want to better your relationships (family, friends, spouses, etc.) by having a deeper understanding of where arguments, hurts, and miscommunications come from, this is definitely worth checking out. It’s about attachment theory and how we all need love. When we don’t feel that we can be vulnerable or lack confidence that our loved ones will be there for us, we either reach out in any way necessary just to get a reaction (good or bad), or we withdraw, thinking that if we do nothing at least we can’t mess up and hurt the other person. This book teaches readers how to get out of that reach/withdraw cycle and helps people view the problem as the enemy as opposed to each other.
