Finding a face wash that isn’t loaded with hard to pronounce chemicals is nearly impossible these days. While I have found some store bought cleansers that rate well, there are days when I just want to give my skin a break.
This is a recipe my mom and grandma used to make with me when we did at home spa days. My grandma and my mom both went to beauty school and I always loved mixing things up in the kitchen and trying them out.
Oatmeal Face Wash – the oatmeal helps to gently exfoliate your skin and clear clogged pores. The honey has antibacterial properties helping to cleans the skin and the almond milk is soothing to the skin and leaves it feeling clean and soft. I don’t think I’ll get my boys to try this, but if you have girls at home, this wash is gentle enough to share with them and keeps well in the fridge for about 5 days.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup organic Almond milk (my mom used regular milk, but I prefer almond – you can use either)
- 1/2 cup organic whole rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon dark honey (I used clover)

Oatmeal is really good for skin. I’ve been using it until now. I maintain using this before I go to sleep and after taking a bath.Honey is also good for skin because it help the skin more smother and fairer. I’d love doing this and I enjoyed it.
