Daily Tip: Don’t Wait to Feel Great

I’m amazed at how quickly the house can go from mostly picked up to completely trashed.  I can handle a little mess, but when the house is in total chaos it’s hard for me to feel calm.  Everything takes longer and seems more overwhelming.

One tiny tweak I’ve learned to incorporate into our daily routine to minimize stress: Don’t procrastinate on anything that can be done in less than a few minutes (take out the trash, load or unload the dishwasher, put away random misplaced items, switch over a load of laundry, etc). Do one thing. It’s so simple, takes virtually no time, but can make a big difference in my peace of mind.  It can also take a big chunk out of my to-do list over the course of the day.
