THE FRESH 20 REVIEW & GIVEAWAY

The Winner of The Fresh 20 subscription is V. Burrow!  Congratulations!

Meal planning has always been a challenge for me.  I knew the value of planning ahead.  I knew it could save me time in the grocery store and in answering the nightly question, “What’s for dinner?” Yet I never seemed to have the time to sit down and actually do it.  At least not consistently.  Anyone else have this problem?

I tried a few meal planning services and they seemed to help at first, but I never stuck with them.  They always included too many processed foods.  By the time I adjusted the recipes I wasn’t really saving that much time or money.  Then I came across  The Fresh 20.  Since then – meal planning has become exactly what I needed it to be.  Something that saves me time and money and helps me to put healthy, real food on the table for my family at least five nights a week.  Commence cheering!

If you aren’t familiar with The Fresh 20 the concept is simple but effective.  They provide everything you need to shop, organize and cook five nutritious, real food meals  using 20 fresh, ingredients.  There are no preservatives, no processed foods and nothing frozen.

Here’s what you get.  Each week The Fresh 20 will send you an email link to that week’s meal plan.  It includes a detailed shopping list, organized by category (vegetables, meat, pantry staples, etc.).  You also get a list of that week’s menu, which I  hang on the fridge for the family to view as needed.  No more answering the questions “What’s for dinner?”  Finally, you get step by step instructions to prepare five delicious meals that take less than 30 minutes each.  If there’s any prep work you can do ahead to save time during the week (like cooking a big batch of brown rice because you use it in two of the recipes) they let you know so you can do that ahead of time.

The recipes are easy to follow and I’d say 8 out of 10 have been a hit with my picky family.  They aren’t super fancy.  They don’t include a bunch of hard to find ingredients like you find in some real food cookbooks.  Your family will recognize the simple, fresh flavors and you’ll save time and money.  I’ve been using The Fresh 20 for about four weeks now and I’ve consistently seen my weekly grocery bill decrease.  I’m only buying what I need and we always have leftovers we can eat for lunch the next day.

Here are just a few of the recipes we’ve prepared using The Fresh 20 Classic Meal Plans.  Take a look at their Facebook Page or follow them on Twitter for more dinner photos, customer reviews, and cooking tips.

A few other bonuses.  You’re weekly meal plans includes a detailed nutritional summary including calories, proteins, carbohydrates, sodium, fiber, cholesterol, fats, sugars, calcium and iron.  You can choose from classic, gluten-free or vegetarian recipes to meet your family’s dietary needs.

If you’ve thought about meal planning or are working to incorporate more real food into your family’s diet, The Fresh 20 would be a great tool to help you get started.  AND thanks to their generosity we’re giving away a one-year subscription FREE!

Here’s how to enter.  This giveaway will end Wednesday, June 20 at 12:01 a.m.  The winner will be announced on the widget below and on Facebook.
