My kids are counting down the days until the weekend so they can finally wear their Star Wars Halloween costumes and head out trolling for sweets. I’m counting down the days because I’m so excited to participate in the BarreAmped Marathon to raise money for Girls on the Run Nashville.
Suzanne Bowen and her team of talented instructors are hosting a full day of health and fitness including a 2 hour BarreAmped marathon workout. It’s the perfect way to kick off Halloween weekend and the extended holiday season! For a small donation of $25 (which goes to support Girls on the Run Nashville) you can join in the festivities, including:
- The 2 hour BarreAmped marathon workout
- Teaching on functional alignment from Dr. Doug Williamson
- Lessons in healthy holiday eating and drinking (including samples)
- Girl’s only dance class taught by Sonya Bresciani (former belly dancer turned pro salsa dancer)
- Silent auction, delicious treats and door prizes
All attendees will have the opportunity to purchase BarreAmped class packages and merchandise plus you can score great prizes donated by Capitol Records, Chiropractic First, G Series Fit, Living Raw, Good Health is Priceless and more!
Suzanne is planning to wrap the event by launching her 30 Day Slim Down Challenge and I’m joining. I think it’s going to be a great way to motivate myself and reinforce healthy habits. My recipes and workouts start to get old after awhile so I’m excited to change things up with Suzanne and the support of a group. If you aren’t local and can’t attend the marathon bootcamp you can visit Suzanne’s website on October 29 to check out the 30 Day Slim Down Challenge and join us!
Nashville friends, are you planning to attend? RSVP on the BarreAmped Facebook page. I hope to see you there! The event kicks off at 10:45 and should wrap up by 1:30.
Full Disclosure: Suzanne is a friend and past client. I was not paid to write this post and all opinions are my own.
